Great Trip to Guam!
9/4/2010

We had a great time ministering at Harvest Christian Academy.

It was a joy to work with such a tremendous school staff.  God has blessed Harvest in a great way with such servants of the Lord.  During the Spirit Week the staff really are crucial.  The week is run almost like a week of camp.  They have several sessions a day and also games, challenges and music.  The teams were Army and Navy and the teens had great excitement throughout the whole week.

What a joy it was to watch God work!  Many of the students come from unsaved families and different religious backgrounds.  In the first session we tried to expose them to who God is and then in the second session to the Gospel.  On the first day we had about 12-15 get saved and throughout the week many more.  On the second day we dealt with sin issues and sanctification.  The message on bitterness seemed to meet a special need for many hurting teens.

By the end of the week it was amazing to hear all the testimonies of the teens.  From the youngest to the oldest tears were shed as many teens shared what God did.  At the end of one of the testimony times a boy that some had been praying for stood up and said, "I have been faking it and I need to get saved, and I'm going right now to get saved."  He walked out and met with a teacher and accepted Christ.

The class of 2011 at Harvest includes many wonderful young people.  They really desire to be the leaders in encouragement and spiritual things.

Pastor Herron was gone for the week, but I'm sure he would be excited to know that things were in good control with the other pastors and teachers.  It was great to be with Kevin Inafuku and his new wife as well as the new youth pastor Aaron Scott.  We also enjoyed ministering with the Harvest Bible College Students.  These students are from many different islands in the pacific.

Guam is the first place where the sun rises in the USA!  We are humbled that God could use us to minister at Harvest!
